There is a special gravesite at the U. S. Military Cemetery in Cambridge, England. Buried at that site is Roger Lenard Taylor, Sr. During World War II, Lenard as he was know by his family and friends, entered the service of our country and was shipped out to serve his tour of duty near London. Shortly after his arrival overseas he learned that the wife he’d left behind was pregnant with their first child. Every day he looked forward to the time they’d be together again.

During the days of his service overseas, Lenard surrendered to the call of God upon his life. He wrote home that when he returned from his tour he would be entering seminary. He would never live to fulfill his calling. On July 13, 1944, after an accident and three weeks hospitalization, Lenard went home to be with the Lord. He never saw his son.

On September 8, 1943, Roger Lenard Taylor, Jr. was born in Orange, California. Roger was destined by Father God to fulfill not only his own call to the ministry but also that of his earthly father, Lenard. On December 12, 1982, Roger was ordained to the gospel ministry. In September of 2005, the Lord fulfilled a life long dream of Roger’s...to visit the gravesite of his father in Cambridge, England. It was at this gravesite that Roger, at 61 years of age, was able to lay to final rest the issue of abandonment in his life and take up the double portion anointing for ministry…his own and that of his earthly father. Roger and Gerri are truly grateful for this blessed gift of Godly spiritual heritage and here they honor and pay tribute to Roger, Sr.

Today Roger lives to share the message of Father’s unconditional love to everyone he meets. Abba has become his Daddy. Someday in the tomorrows of life, Roger, Sr. and his son will meet for the first time. He is not in our past, he is in our future.
